Geneva 'Gene' Parker, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:50 P.M., Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
Gene was a homemaker.  She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born July 6, 1914 at Du Quoin, the daughter of Robert Earl and Lillian (Coulter) Stanley.
She married Oscar 'Pepper' Parker on April 25, 1946 at Nashville and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1953.
She is survived by one brother - Lyle Stanley and wife Gladys of Tamaroa, two sisters - Inez Beard of Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Dottie Bench and husband Bish of Orem, Utag, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters - Beulah Robinson and Ruth Doerr.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Shaw DeMent officiating.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
